Rhiannon joined SWS Lawyers in 2024.  Rhiannon works in our Dispute Resolution Group across a broad range of commercial litigation disputes.

Rhiannon accumulated a vast array of experience in her 5+ years of practicing in the ACT, starting in property and estates as a junior before practicing in corporate and commercial law. Here she took point on transactions and acquisitions for companies and not-for-profits, whilst mentoring other young lawyers along the way. Rhiannon was also enjoyed her commitment to many hours of pro-bono work for the YWCA and the Women’s Legal Centre.

Rhiannon spent a year at a large national firm where she negotiated and advised on large-scale, high-profile, high-value IT strategic sourcing contracts for the Commonwealth, and acted as legal advisor to government agencies.

Upon her move to Newcastle, Rhiannon has returned to commercial litigation and brings her significant commercial law experience to this practice area. Rhiannon now enjoys the rare and valuable position of being able to act at both the front and back ends of a legal matter, which she does with excellent communication skills, commercial awareness, and practical advice.
